Introduction :
Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ashraf is the Chairman of Pakistan Science Foundation, Academician of Pakistan Academy of Sciences and Third World Academy of Sciences (TWAS), President of Muhammad Nawaz Shareef University Multan. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ashraf is a famous plant stress physiology in Pakistan and have been appointed as an distinguished professor by Higher Education Commission in Pakistan and Visiting professor by the Northwest A&F University. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ashraf have made great contributions in plant stress physiology, especially the salt stress physiology. Currently, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ashraf have been appointed as reviewer of 38 national and international journals, published 512 pieces of article and the journal impact factor is now over 560, edited and published 13 monograph. Prof. Ashraf was appointed as the chief scientist of the field of agriculture and botany in Pakistan in 2004、2005、2007. He awarded the chief scientist of salt resistance research field of world by ISI Web of Science in 2007. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ashraf have published many articles in well-known magazine, such as Journal of Agronomy and Crop Science, Biotechnology Advances、Laser Physics Letters、Postharvest Biology and Technology、Journal of Plant Growth Regulation、International Journal of Molecular Sciences、Environmental and Experimental Botany、Molecules、Analytical and Bioanalytical Chemistry and so on.
