Professor in College of Agronomy, Northwest A&F University.
Supervisor of Ph.D. students.
Main contribution and position:
• The State Council special government allowance winner
• The Ministry of agriculture expert with outstanding contribution
•  “Three five Talents Project" selected of Shaanxi Province.
•  Member of Advisory Committee of the Tibet autonomous region development .
• The vice president of Farming society.
•  The Deputy Secretary General of crop association of Shaanxi Province.
• Member of the Editorial board in Journal of Northwest Agriculture and Forestry University" and "agricultural research in arid area”
•  Adjunct professor in Baoji College of Arts Science.
•   Agricultural consultant in Xian Yang, Tongchuan, Baoji.
•  A former library curator, research director, Development planning office director, the assistant principal of NWSUAF.
•  Now current director of The Research Center of Recycle Agricultural Engineering and Technology of Shaanxi Province.
• In recent years, as a visitor Scholar to Japan, Canada, the United States, Russia and  other countries to conduct academic exchanges.

Master 76 and doctor 36 students had graduated. Currently, 8 postgraduate students and 10 Ph.D. Candidates are studying in the lab, additionally, the two doctors from grade 2011 and grade 2013 had obtained outstanding doctoral dissertation of NWAFU
4. Academic Achievements (above the provincial level)
1) The main research areas were agricultural resources utilization and regional development, cyclic economy and agricultural technology, regional ecological agriculture, environmental recovery and reconstruction, macroscopic and microscopic field etc.
2)  In recent years, Dr. Yang has presented the national, provincial and ministerial level scientific research items more than thirty.
3)  Currently, Prof. Yang participate several projects, and presided over special major projects at the national foundation, “Twelfth Five” Technology Support Program, Forestry industry-specific and other projects.
The main areas focus on:
(1) The theory and practice of agriculture in arid areas, agricultural resources utilization and regional development:
i. In arid agriculture areas, participated and hosted “Seventh Five”, “Eighth Five”, “Ninth Five” national research projects, and published 16 thesis. Presented and completed National Natural Science Foundation of China project “Research on ways to improve water use efficiency in dryland (38900033)”, with a breakthrough in dryland farming research.
ii. In regional development areas, researched Tibet “Three Rivers” agricultural regional comprehensive development, agriculture resources, economy and population since 1992 and published more than ten papers and there monograph.
iii. In January 6, 2007, presented Qinghai major scientific and technological project by acceptance, the results have important guideline for the ecological environment construction of River Source Area.
(2) The regional ecological agriculture, environmental recovery and reconstruction respect.
i. From May, 2000 to December, 2003, introduced Western special of Ministry of Science “Northwest Returning Farmland to Forest and Grassland and agricultural restructuring strategy research (K2000-05-07)”, National Natural Science Foundation of China (January, 2002 – December, 2004) “Northwest Reforestation basic feasibility study (30170539)”. Currently research National Natural Science Foundation of China Reforestation Benefit and Forestry industry-specific Northern Shaanxi Reforestation Agriculture, forestry landscape configuration mode research.
ii. National Science and Technology special focus project “Qinba Mountain ecological communities and germplasm resources survey” Advisory experts opinions in 2012, has formed the basis literature collection and the library of background information, and provided “Title-Abstract-Table of Contents—Full Text” link to search.
(3)  From August, 2003, The biomass and recycling agriculture aspect. The development of ecological agricultural model with biogas as a link and mechanism of anaerobic fermentation and biogas generators have become an important research and demonstration.

Academic Awards
1) The secondary class of Science and Technology Progress Award in Shaanxi Provincial People's Government for “Research on ways to improve water use efficiency in dryland” in 1997
2)  The secondary class of Science and Technology Progress Award in Tibet Autonomous Region Science and Technology Committee for “Research on productive capacity of land resources and population carrying capacity” in 1998.
3) The secondary class of Science and Technology Progress Award in ministry of education for “Research on Tibet three rivers and Tibetan Plateau agricultural development” in 2003.
4) The secondary class of Science and Technology Progress Award in Shaanxi Province for “Biogas as a link ecological agriculture mode key technology research and demonstration” in 2006.
5) The third class of Science and Technology Progress Award in Qinghai Province for “Research on ecological environment evolution and quality evaluation system in River Source Region” in 2009.
