1. Basic Information
Zhang Baojun，male, born in May 1960, Professor, supervisor of postgraduate，graduated from Northwest Agricultural University in 1983 and began to teach at the University in the same year. He received his master degree in Crop Cultivation and Farming in 1994 and is now the head of teaching group of Crop Cultivation and The Plant Safety in Production and Green Food.

4. Academic Achievements
From 1983, Prof. Zhang has been devoted to the research work of physiological ecology of high yield and high quality highly effective cultivation about dry area crops. For years, Prof. Zhang has participated in and managed the country “95” Torch-plan projects “The research of grain yield of agricultural comprehensive development in the loess plateau(Qian County ) (96-004-05-08)”, “The research of grain yield of fruit development in the transition zone of the south of loess plateau-The supporting technology research of major grain crop against the disaster and stabilization of the output (96-004-05)”, The country major industrial projects “The model of high efficient water use in agriculture and the industrialization of demonstration in canal irrigation areas (Shaanxi) (99-86-21-01-02-03)”, The Ministry of Agriculture Science and technology span plan project “the production technology and industrialization demonstration of Noodles wheat (2000-6)”, National Natural Science Fundation of China projects “ the ecologica research of Tibet wheat quality (20000301010)”, USDA Agricultural Structure Adjustment major technical special “Studies on Shaanxi High Quality of Strong Gluten wheat variety Breeding and Cultivated Technology (2002-02-01A-6)” and “863” project “Shaanxi Northwest Sub-humid irrigation district (Yangling) Water-saving agricultural technology system integration and demonstration (2002AA2Z4211)”, “11th Five-Year Plan” to support science and technology project “intercropping of fruit and crop of Key technologies and demonstration (2007BAD36B03)”, Shaanxi Natural Science Fund project “different wheat variety of Allelopathic effects on herbicide efficacy (14210121)”, horizontal union project “Shaanxi high quality of strong Gluten Wheat of effective cultivation and regionalization (20030203056)”, “Effects of Ozone on growth and development of crop (20060110001)”, “highly effective use of Northern wheat water-fertilizer and demonstration (20090107018)” and so on .
Prof. Zhang won the second prize of the Ministry of Agriculture advance in technology (891192) in August, 1989, won the second prize of the country advance in technology (J-201-2-09-002) and the first prize of science and technology of model district (2001-1-14-06) in December, 2001, won the second prize of country advance in technology (West nongda card words (2001) study 15) in April ,2003, won the first prize of science and technology of Shanxi Province (03-1-19-R4) and the second prize science and technology of Shanxi Province (03-1-19-R5) In March, 2004.
Prof. Zhang has published 96 pieces of scientific papers in Acta Agronomica Sinica, Journal of Northwest A&F University, Journal of Triticeae Crops, Research of Soil and Water Conservation, Crops, Agricultural Research In The Arid Areas and 22 publications of Co-editor and editor in Chief or Deputy Chief Editor. Prof. Zhang has obtained the prize for provincial and university teaching achievement 3 items, Advanced person of education 1 time and teaching award multiple times.
