During July 5th to July 7th, President Sun Qixin led the delegation to Xinjiang and signed Strategic Co-operation Frame Agreement with Shihezi University and Tarim University, as a practice of Ministry of Education’s Academic Assistance and the Framework Agreement on Comprehensive Cooperation between the Northwest A&F University and the People's Government of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, 

Per the agreement, NWAFU will work with two universities in regards to discipline construction, scientific and technological cooperation, and talent cultivation and contribute to the agricultural development of Xinjiang area.
