"I am thinking to make myself the source of positive energy and help the junior students in financial need with what I can do. When the first recipients get out of the woods, they can support the next one… In this way, love and care can be carried on like dominoes.”

These heart-warming words are from Yin Zhiyuan, the 2014 PhD candidate in plant pathology from College of Plant Protection. Recently, he donated RMB 10,000 which he received from Baosteel Scholarship to the College of Plant Protection and found Enlightenment Scholarship.

Yin Zhiyuan comes from the rural area in Ruzhou, Henan. His family depends on the farmland for their livelihood, yet his donation is supported by his girlfriend, "We think it is meaningful to use limited money for infinite usage. Apart from interest, people should pay more attention to feelings!”

In 2013, Huang Yongzhen, PhD candidate from the College of Animal Science, donated his National scholarship to his college to support students from families in poverty or with unexpected incidents.
