1. Personal data
Wang Shuanquan, male, born in Nov. 1953 in Huangling county, Shaanxi province. Graduated in Department of agronomy, Northwest Agriculture University in Jan. 1982, bachelor’s degree. Now, professor and tutor of master of Northwest A&F university.
 

2. Research fields or aspects
Engaging in research work of rape heredity breeding, high efficiency using technology of water resource.
 

3. Academic and scientific achievements
Successively took charge of 11 research programs such as branch subject of National ‘nine-five-year’ scientific brainstorm program, National ‘eleven-five-year’ support plan program, Natural science fund of Shaanxi province, science and technology brainstorm program of Shaanxi province, major popularize program of Shaanxi province,etc.
In the research field of dryland farming, brought up a complete and comprehensive systematized techniques, such as to achieve high efficiency using of limited water, improve crop growing environment and excavate the potential of crop itself to drought-resistance and water-saving, combination of traditional dryland farming techniques and new technologies, take breed improvement, improvement of soil fertility, mulching production and drought-resistant water-saving measure as object matter for the cpmprehensive development of food potentail in the hill and ravin areas in North Shaanxi province, and demonstrated and populirazed in this area, achieved the changeover of production system and jump of cropland productivity.
In research field of rape breeding, the new prematurity high yield variety, Zayou1, passed the examine and approve by National variety committee in Nov. 2007, and has already popularized in large area in the Yellow river valley.
Published more than 30 scientific papers, and awarded 4 provincial or ministrial prizes.
