Li Menglou, male, born in January, 1957, come from Fu Ping, Shaanxi. He is an expert of forest insect and prickly ash. Now he has been the professor and supervisor of PhD candidates in Forestry College, Northwest A&.F University, the member of Seventh Forest Insect Professional Committee of Entomological Society of China, the member of branch of Forestry Insects of Chinese Forestry Society, the vice-director of Seventh and Eighth Entomological Association of Shaanxi province. The international Forestry Federation wove him into a who’s who in world as a expert of forest entomology in 1995. He was the Distinguished Teacher of Shaanxi province in 2008 and was the head of National Teaching Group of Forest Protection in 2009. Professor Li Meng-lou took up education at the age of 17 years old and was admitted to the Northwest Agricultural College in 1977. In January, 1982 he graduated from the Department of Plant Protection in Northwestern Agriculture College, in the same year he teached at the Department of Forest Protection in Northwest Forestry College. He is the leading teacher of Forest Entomology Synopsis, Biological Control of Forest Insect Pests, Insect Physiology, Forest Pants and Animals Quarantine, Resources Entomology, etc. for undergraduate, master 's and PhD. His main education publications are as follows: ① Professor Li was awarded the National Great Course for " Forest Entomology ” he charged in 2005. ② Professor Li presided the item of "Teaching Reform and practice in series courses of Forest Protection” was got the first prize of teaching achievement in Shaanxi province in 2009. ③ Professor Li was the chief editor for national unified compiled teaching materials of Forest Entomology Synopsis in 2002, tenth five year plan materials of Resources Entomology in 2005, eleventh five year plan materials of Forest Pants and Animals Quarantine in 2008, eleventh five year plan materials of Scientific Research Method in February, 2009, the National eleventh five year plan materials of Forest Entomology Synopsis in 2010 and Basic Research Methods published by Northwest A & F University Press. Professor Li Menglou preside 18 research items successively, which include the National Natural Science Fund, the national key project tenth five year plan, the national key project eleventh five year plan, and other Education Department research projects and province projects. He has 3 research projects in Nation and provincial education and has delivered 129 pieces of various research. His main science researches and productions are as follows: ① He has published monograph "Prickly ash Cultivation and Plant Diseases and Pests Control” in 1989, "The research of Comprehensive Utilization Technology of prickly ash seed oil” has got the third prize of technology progress in Shaanxi province in 2001, and he set about the transformation of no-thorn prickly ash and cultivation research on new variety in 2005. ② The item of "Research on Comprehensive Control Technology of larch pest prevention”, also was got the third prize of technology progress in Shaanxi province in 1995. ③ In 1997, he found a kind of new plant pesticide and engaged in a series study of Insecticidal Mechanism and Structure reformation of coriaria lactone. He presided 3 projects of National Natural Science Fund and declared 1 piece of National Patent. ④ In 1998, Professor Li advanced a new theory of Forecasting the Occurrence Degree and controlling of Forest Pest based on combining biodiversity research theory with the practice theory of forest pest control. He masterminded and accomplished the project of National Ministry of Education in 2009, "The judgment method and applicaton research of resistance forestry for pest by biodiversity Index”, this project was accredited by Ministry of Education Sci-Tech Achivements. ⑤ Since 2002, professor Li has presided the sub-project "Study on the utilization technology of Dastarcus helophoroides control of Anoplophora glabripennis” of the national key project eleventh five year plan and the national key project tenth five year plan. He corrected some mistake about the life history of Dastarcus helophoroides and discovered that the longevity of that enemy of Anoplophora glabripennis (Motschulsky) could more than 6 years. He screened out artificial diet of Dastarcus helophoroides and declared 1 piece of National Patent. ⑥ The program of "Research on integrated control of red turpentine beetle” was granted the first prize of technology progress in Shaanxi province in 2007. This achievement in order to remain the health of forest based on technical measures, such as Low wooden trap bait, Attracts the attention of dry pesticides, and found 5 natural enemy of red turpentine beetle. |
