Biography of Speaker：
Prof Wang Xiujun is senior talent recruited by Beijing Normal University (BNU), and Principal Investigator of College of Global Change and Earth System Science, BNU. She got her PhD degree in soil biogeochemistry from University of Melbourne in 1994, and PhD degree in oceanic biochemistry from University of Tasmania in 2002. She was PI in University of Maryland from 2005 to 2013. Her main research topic is carbon cycle in terrestrial and oceanic ecosystems. And as PI, She has finished several projects on carbon cycles in different ecosystems. The topics she focused on during the past 5 years include accumulation and transformation of organic and inorganic carbon in north China. She has published more than 50 papers (cited more than 1000 times). She serves as editors of journals, including Scientific Report, PLoS ONE, and reviewers for more than 20 international journals. She was the past president of Biogeosciences Section of Asia Oceania Geosciences Society (AOGS).
