　　Dr. Kun-Hsiang Liu is a Professor of Haixia Institute of Science and Technology at Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University. Dr. Liu received his Ph.D. from National Defense Medical Center in Taiwan in 2003. Formerly, he was a Research Fellow and Assistant in the Department of Genetics at Harvard Medical School. His research has been published in world renowned journals including Nature, Plant Cell and The EMBO Journal.

　　Dr. Liu’s research focuses on the nutrients sensing and signaling in plants. His recent ground breaking work have uncovered a nitrate-coupled calcium signaling mechanism central to the plant nutrient-growth regulatory network.
