NWAF Uers Won the Awards in the 2nd China Undergraduate Life Sciences Contest

From November 23rd to 25th, the second China Undergraduate Life Sciences Contest finalwas held in Henan University. The team of Lu Xinyue from College of Horticulture and the team of Zheng Xiaoying from College of Food Science and Engineering won the first prize.

It is the first time that NWAFU organized teams to participate in the competition. Organized by College of Food Science and Engineering,there were 28 projects from 7 colleges registered for the contest, 8 of them entered the top 51 in Shaanxi Province and two projects were shortlisted for the finals.

"China Undergraduate Life Sciences Contest” is jointly organized by the Ministry of Education's University Biology Curriculum Teaching Steering Committee, the Ministry of Education's College Biosciences Professional Teaching Steering Committee, the Ministry of Education's College Biotechnology and Bioengineering Professional Teaching Steering Committee, and Biology Teaching Research in Colleges(Electronic Edition) magazine. The contest requires students to conduct independent design experiments or field investigations on any scientific issues related to life sciences, so that students can understand the development of life sciences, find effective methods to solve life science problems as well as prevention and control measures and master the basic experimental techniques and methods related to investigation, monitoring, inspection, quarantine, diagnosis, analysis, prevention and control in the life sciences.
