Seminar on the “Silk Road International Agricultural Talents” Professional Degree Postgraduates Project Held

On April 8, vice president Luo Jun presided over a seminar on the "Silk Road International Agricultural Talents"professional degree postgraduatesproject, and conductedan in-depth discussion on the cultivation of "Silk Road International Agricultural Talents" professional degree postgraduates on the normalization of the epidemic situation to boost the "one belt and one road" benchmark construction of NWAFU.

At the seminar, Han Juan of the College of Agronomy, Li Gaochao of the College of Horticulture, and Yang Yuxin of the College of Animal Science and Technology respectively reported on the progress of the "Silk Road International Agricultural Talents" professional degree postgraduates projectand the student dispatch plan in 2022 and put forward suggestions on relevant issues in the process of project implementation. Participants offered suggestions on the training, dispatch and employment of graduate students with professional degrees.

"Silk Road International Agricultural Talents" professional degree postgraduates project was launched in 2019. Guided by the training needs of "The Belt and Road Initiative" agricultural talents, relying on the agricultural science and technology demonstration zone jointly built by the NWAFU, Kazakhstan, and other countries, the project encourages and supports students to focus on scientific and technological issues with practical application prospects such as agricultural green production, ecological security and protection. Its objective is to cultivate multi-disciplinary, multi-skill, and top-level professionals with overseas practical experience, interested in working in countries along the Silk Road, multinational enterprises and scientific research institutions. At present, 71 people have been recruited.
