On the morning of November 8th, 2015, the 4th International Culture & Art Festival of Northwest A & F University (NWAFU)opened at Season Square at south campus in a hilarious atmosphere. Students from 27 countries, wearing various costumes and speaking different languages, put on wonderful performances at the Festival.
Culture Closeness: Openness, Inclusiveness and Harmony.
With delicious food such as Ceylon tea, Mongolian milk rice, Thai Coconut milk fruit, Spanish dessert, and “African-flavored” coffee, overseas students of different cultural background gathered together. With exquisite art works such as Egyptian papyrus, Vietnam woodcarving, African stone carving, Cambodia woodwork, Russian apparel and Chinese calligraphy, it is convinced that arts has no national boundaries.
Chinese Martial Art Show
A splendid Chinese traditional culture show, Hongwu and Shaanxi Waist Drum, won loud applause and cheering. At the Chinese culture exhibition area, rice wine, dessert and calligraphy attracted many overseas students. Chinese culture with its unique charm shines with brilliance.
Vietnam Bamboo Dance
African Grassland Dance
The passionate Mongolian song Mengol Goyol presents the pride and passion of Mongolian people. The cheerful Bamboo Dance reflects Vietnam customs. The radiant dance Joy for Harvest arouses the audience’s yearning for Thai Fragrant rice. The moving love song Singin’in the Rain tells Bengalese love story. The fascinating Burma Bumbershoot Dance shows Southeast Asian customs. The exciting African Grassland Dance draws the audience to the remote African land. The appealing Pakistan traditional dance wins the audience’s enthusiasm.
Different cultures converge in the big family of Northwest Agriculture & Forestry University, where overseas students live a happy school life and where multi-national cultures are fully displayed.
