Recently, the admission results of government-sponsored senior scholars, visiting scholars and postdoctoral programs in 2020 were announced. 31 teachers from NWAFU were accepted by theChina Scholarship Council(CSC), and the program admission rate exceeded 90%, reaching a new record high.

　　Selecting outstanding young teachers to carry out overseas training and learning through the government-sponsored visiting program is not only an important means to implement the strategy of strengthening the university with talents, further improve the internationalization level of young teachers, and build a team of teachers with international vision, but also an important way to strengthen the close cooperation between NWAFU and internationally renowned universities as well as scientific research institutions, and to promote the implementation of the international strategy.

　　In order to get the maximum funding from the government-sponsored visiting project, the university adjusted the application policy and proposed that the teachers who intend to declare the “Leading Young Teachers Studying Abroad Program” must apply for the senior research and visiting project of CSC in advance. The implementation of this policy has greatly increased the enthusiasm for the declaration of fully funded projects, and the number of applicants has increased from more than 10 to more than 30 people each year.

　　In order to further improve the efficiency of studying abroad, in line with the three first-class principles of “selecting first-class personnel, going to first-class units abroad, and following first-class mentors”, on the basis of national application conditions, the university puts forward higher requirements for foreign units and cooperative tutors contacted by teachers, and those who fail to meet the requirements will not be selected, so as to ensure the effectiveness of visiting.
