On the morning of March 4th 2016, in-process inspection meeting of NWAFU’s High-performance computing platform was held at Digital Building.

Based on previous sufficient research and proof, the platform started to construct in December in 2015 and it is expected to be completed and put into use at the end of March in 2016, which is an indispensable tool to support “big data” research.

After its implementation, the theoretical peak of its operational capability can reach 101.76 trillion per second and the available storage can reach 1000TB. Meanwhile, this program will set an example for universities in northwest region, and thus improve NWAFU scientific research capacity in this field.
