From August 22nd to September 10th, Prof. Károly Hrotkó, head of College of Horticulture at Szent István University and chairman of international cheery association, visited NWAFU for academic exchange in regards to cherry breeding and planting, integrated pest management, and deep process technology. Prof. Hrotkó also visited NWAFU’s cherry demonstration zone and local large-scale growers in Shaanxi and Xinjiang.

Prof. Károly Hrotkó was awarded with the "Friendship Award" set up by the Chinese government and was warmly received by Premier Li Keqiang.
