He also introduced a new dimension to the summer school programme, reaching out to Food Science students with a specialist course designed around new product development.

On the morning of October 8, Stephen Giles met with representatives from NWAFU’s Office of International Cooperation and College of Mechanical and Electronic Engineering to discuss future developments for the popular summer school programme and other potential areas of cooperation.

After the presentations, Mr Giles said: "It has been a great honour to be given the opportunity to meet with representatives from NWAFU and to address the students. A particular highlight was the chance to share the stage with many of this year’s students. Their excellent presentations were testament to the superb progress they made in language development during their month-long stay in England.”
