At 9:30 a.m. on October 9th, the 1st International Apple Symposium and Shaanxi Apple Industry Development Press Conference was held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. Wu Pute， vice president of NWAFU attended the conference and gave introductions on apple science research in university which boosts the development of apple industry in Shaanxi Province, and on the arrangement of the symposium.

The symposium centers on latest achievements on apple research, closely related to each link on the apple industry chain, and expands academic exchanges on six special topics, aiming at communicating latest achievements and trends of apple research, promoting disciplinary construction and talent training, providing better scientific and technological support for China’s and world’s apple industry development, therefore benefiting more people.

Finally, Mr.Wu Pute expressed that NWAFU would take the International Apple Symposium as an opportunity to make new and better contribution on achieving Chinese fruit industry dream of“strong fruit industry, rich fruit farmer and beautiful fruit land”.
