October 5th witnessed NWAFU’s two new apple species passing Shaanxi Fruit Tree Variety Approval Committee’s preliminary examination. The two resistant varieties – Qincui and Qinmi (tentative name), selected by NWAFU’s State Key Laboratory of Arid Regions of Adversity Biology and Apple Adversity Biology research team at College of Horticulture, marked NWAFU’s new progress in the field of apple research.
