On the morning of October 13th, the 1st World Apple Meeting Seminar had its grand opening in Yangling International Convention Center. This international seminar was held by International Society for Horticultural Science, Chinese Society for Horticultural Science, and Chinese Academy of Engineering, and was undertaken by NWAFU and Shaanxi Agriculture Department. Over 800 scholars and entrepreneurs from 25 countries joined the opening ceremony.

During the two-day seminar, the meeting will discuss germplasm resources and breeding, orchard environment and cultivation management, molecular biology and biotechnology, and other three topics in separate sessions.

The meeting will form Yangling Manifesto, build International Apple Institute, and initiate international apple big data center. The meeting appeals to scholars and entrepreneurs to cooperate with each other and promote the world’s apple industry.
