To keep with the overall undertaking and the discipline development, NWAFU decided to set up the College of Chemistry and Pharmacy. On the morning of December 30th, NWAFU President Sun Qixin, Executive Vice President Wu Pute, Party Committee Secretary of College of Chemistry and Pharmacy Wang Jinyi, and Dean Gao Jinming attended the opening ceremony.

President Sun Qixin pointed out that the establishment of the College of Chemistry and Pharmacy is a significant action to the university in the process of meeting the needs of national strategic development, becoming the world first-class agricultural university, and optimizing educational resources; it also carries out the university’s disciplinary development idea of “forming peak subject, strengthening basic subject, and expanding emerging field”. Five tasks – putting a high value on talent cultivation, stressing the college’s feature, upholding the education quality, strengthening the country through talents, and college leadership balancing reform – should be implemented.
