Recently, the Ministry of Agriculture released the construction list of“13th Five-Year”key laboratories of Ministry of Agriculture and scientific observation experiment stations, the Ministry of Agriculture key laboratory of traditional agricultural heritage led by Prof.Fan Zhimin from College of Humanities and the Ministry of Agriculture key laboratory of agricultural Internet of Things led by Prof.HeDongjian from College of Mechanical and Electronic Engineering were on the list. The two newly added key laboratories are specialized and regional key laboratories of Ministry of Agriculture, belonging to urban agriculture discipline and agricultural information technology discipline, which will be awarded officially after two-year operation and evaluation.

Up to now, there are 18 key laboratories of Ministry of Agriculture supported by NWAFU, with one comprehensive key laboratory of Ministry of Agriculture, eleven specialized and regional key laboratory of Ministry of Agriculture, six agricultural scientific observation experiment station of Ministry of Agriculture, belonging to seventeen disciplines with approved funds amounting to 96.42 million yuan.
