The forum was hosted by Northwest A&F University and National Pingtung University of Science and Technology in Taiwan. Topics covered six aspects including soil and water conservation and rural regeneration, artificial soil erosion and prevention, soil and water conservation performance evaluation methods, vegetation restoration and sustainable use of water and land resources, new concepts of soil and water conservation, new technologies and methods, and conservation of soil and water in the context of global change. In the five-day forum, experts and scholars carried out 19 keynote speeches and reports centering on the revitalization and regeneration of villages, the history and inspiration of soil and water conservation on the Loess Plateau, the regulation and utilization of rainfall and runoff on the Loess Plateau, and the impact of ecology on soil environmental quality, and visited the relevant bases, test stations and demonstration sites.
