From May 7th to 11th, at the invitation of Academician Kang Zhensheng, Director of the State Key Laboratory, Professor Lagudah, Academician of the Australian Academy of Sciences, Chief Scientist of the Molecular Genetics and Plant Disease Resistance Team of the Federation of Scientific and Technological Organizations, visited Northwest A&F University．

　　Professor Lagudah gave an academic report entitled "Current advances in molecular-genetics of rust resistance in wheat”, discussed with the research team of wheat stripe rust in key laboratories on the latest progress in wheat disease resistance research. The two sides conducted in-depth exchanges on the research of the stripe rust genome mutation, the interaction mechanism between stripe rust and wheat.
