On June 14th, the cooperative research of cattle classification and genetic adaptation by Prof. Jiang Yu’s team and Prof. Lei Chuchao’s team made progress. Relevant research results, entitled as "Whole-genome resequencing reveals world-wide ancestry and adaptive introgression events of domesticated cattle in East Asia” was published in Nature Communications on June 14th, 2018. NWAFU doctoral students Chen Ningbo, Cai Yudong, Chen Qiuming from College of Animal Science and Technology, and other doctoral students including Li Ran and Huang Yongzhen were joint first authors of the paper, with Prof. Jiang Yu and Prof. Lei Chuchao as corresponding authors. Cooperative units include Shaanxi Provincial Institute of Archaeology, Northwest Polytechnical University, Yunnan University, and Ningxia University.
