On August 14th, the "13th Five-Year” National Key R&D Program "The Development and Demonstration of Moderately Large-scale Mechanized Technology in Hilly Mountainous Areas” hosted by Professor Chen Jun of  College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, NWAFU, was held in Yancheng, Jiangsu.

Given the harsh situation in China’s hilly mountainous area ---  the lack of suitable mechanized operation equipment, low level of integrated application, and defections of  whole-stage mechanized production technology system,  and the production characteristics of main food crops and cash crops in those areas, the project focuses on the research and development of key technologies and machines, integration and demonstration of equipment, and the operation system, to  improve the mechanization level of moderate scale production in dry farming in hilly and mountainous areas.
