The National Publishing Fund Project"General History of Agriculture in China•Graphic Edition”, undertaken by the Northwest A&F University Press, has been carefully crafted for 3 years and has been officially published recently. On the morning of November 5, the first batch of new books appeared at the 25th China Yangling Agricultural High-techFair to meet with a wide audience.
This book was written by Professor Fan Zhimin from College of Humanities and Social Development of NWAFU. The editors are experts and scholars with many years of agricultural history research experience at the China Agricultural History and Culture Research Center ofNorthwest A&F University.
The book is divided into four volumes, the content of which is based on agricultural types. It combines the characteristics of regional history and chronicles to interpret the different historical, regional and civilized characteristics of China's agricultural development. This work takes the development of regional agriculture as the research object, and uses the time axis to carry it through. Reading through the whole book is like opening a picture of Chinese agricultural history from far and near. The book is full of pictures and texts, and the design of the frame is exquisite. Instead of being boring and rigid thatthe history books typically have, it is popular and vivid yet scientific and rigorous, and readable as well.
