On November 24th, NWAFU President Wu Pute met at the International Exchange Center with the Vice Minister of Agriculture of Kazakhstan, Gulmira Issayeva,the President of West Kazakhstan Agricultural Technology University, Nametov Askar, Director of the Kazakhstan Veterinary Research Institute, Akhmetzhan Sultanov, and Director of the International Cooperation Division of the Kazakhstan National Laboratory, Akhmetzhanova Amina.

Mr. Wu Pute extended warm welcome to the guests from Kazakhstan. The "Silk Road Agricultural Education Technology Innovation Alliance”will serve as a link to expand and deepen cooperation between the two sides, Mr Wu said. The agricultural productivity improvement plan will be launched jointly in near future. From planning to technical support,varieties introduction and personnel training, NWAFU will  form and summarize a series of technical standards and agricultural models applicable to different climate zones in Kazakhstan and other countries in Central Asia.To actively respond to the "Belt and Road Initiative”, the two sides are to explore the food production potential of the five Central Asian countries,to solve global food security problems, and to further cooperation in the field of animal husbandry and exchange students programme. 

NWAFU Vice President Luo Jun and the Director of the Kazakhstan Veterinary Research Institute Akhmetzhan Sultanov signed a memorandum of understanding. In the future, the two sides will strengthen pragmatic cooperation in accordance with the memorandum.

After the meeting, Minister Gulmira Issayeva and other foreign guestsvisited the NWAFU overseas studentsfrom Kazakhstan, the Agricultural Science and Technology Promotion Exhibition Room and the Agricultural College Crop Bio Innovation Platform.
