A few days ago, the Science and Technology Department of Shaanxi Province announced the results of the fund-raising project of the Provincial Soft Science Research Project in 2019. The number of projects and the total amount of funds approved for NWAFU hit another record high.

In the current year, NWAFU has been approved a total of 11 projects, with a funding of 0.71 million yuan, which is 2.3 times that of last year. 42% project applications have been approved, the number of which is much higher than the province's average project rate.

In 2019, Shaanxi Soft Science Research Program is divided into three categories: joint projects, key projects and general projects. In accordance with the principle of "problem-oriented in setting major goalsand results-oriented in valuing efficiency",this practice is focusing on province's scientific and technological innovation and major issues of economic and social development, to carry out the socialism of new era with Chinese characteristics and the spirit of the 19th Party Congress, and to meet the demands of the provincial government in the deployment of “Five New Strategies”and the development of “Three Realms of Economy”.Therefore, systematic nature, applicability and effectiveness of research results are to be given top priority to enhance the supporting role of government decision-making consultation for soft science research services.

In recent years, NWAFU has attached great importance to the application of soft science projects, taking this an opportunity to improve the level of soft science research of our university. Based on the project application characteristics, we plan and encouragethe faculty according in advance. Referring to the project application guidelines, we select the research team that meets the application requirements, analyze the advantages and encourage the ones with great potential. Much attention has also been given to project tracking service--- from application, material review, on-site defense to following sections. The mid-term managementand the completion of the project have been strictly and syntactically conducted, which improves the effectiveness of the soft science project, and provides support for government decision-making consultation.
