70th Birthday of New China

"Remain true to our original aspiration and keep our mission firmly in mind”. Encouraged by General Secretary Xi Jinping's reply to letters from teachers and students of agricultural-related colleges and universities throughout the country, at the same time, to present a gift for the seventieth birthday of the great motherland and to celebrate the eighty-fifth anniversary of the founding of NWAFU and the twentieth anniversary of its merger, to promote the excellent Chinese farming culture and the spirit of the new agronomists of "after the people”, NWAFU teachers and students used common wheat, rye, blue wheat, barley, red rice, millet, glutinous rice and oats, hazelnuts, millet, sesame, mung bean, lentil, black bean and and other crop seeds to spell out Tiananmen and other national celebrations, offering the most sincere and simple wishes for the birthday of our motherland. At the same time, they also used seeds to spell out the logo of our university and the symbolic building of No.3 teaching building, the gate of the North Campus, the insect museum of the Expo Garden and the wheat field with the symbols of NWAFU, in order to present the birthday of the school. The crop seeds used in the mosaic are all produced by our school, and the color matching is the primary color of the seeds to convey the concept of green agriculture and environmental protection campus.

"The seeds are small but the future is brilliant”. The university will uphold the"spirit of NWAFU”,namely,take root in Yangling, serve the nation, devote to this soil, fully engage in the solution of the Three Rural Issues (Agriculture, rural areas and farmers), endure hardship and pursue excellence; always adhere to the philosophy of "serving the nation for its need,serving the people for their living, persisting science for its truth”, take strengthening agriculture and promoting agriculture as its own responsibility, and cultivate more new talents who know agriculture and love agriculture, namely "top heaven" and "land-building", in order to make new and greater contributions to speeding up the construction of new agricultural sciences and continuing to promote rural revitalization.
